I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
