The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of characters who will split off from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

First, the team knows exactly where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the group reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Seekers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can look forward to learning which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
